ABOUT BEN

Ben is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster - with over a decade of experience in the media. After working for radio stations including BBC Radio 5live and Andover Sound, Ben joined BBC Somerset in 2011 as the station's drive presenter. He went on to take over the morning phone-in - spending over four years on the show and winning a South West Media Award in 2014 for 'Radio Programme of the Year'.

In 2017, Ben started his television career after joining ITV News West Country as their Somerset Correspondent. Ben's job is to cover news stories the length and breadth of the county.

Ben has picked up a number of honours through his career including a Sony Radio Academy Award, a New York Festivals Radio Award and a Mind Media Award for his coverage of mental health.

Ben is also an experienced and popular event host/compère. and has taken charge of events including the Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards, the Care Focus Awards and the Somerset Sports Awards. Find out more about how to book Ben here.
